As a teenager, experimenting on different types of food is common now a days. From rice to viands, pastas to bread and pastries, and desserts to drinks. I have found my love on bread and pastries. I love experimenting on the different types of breads and pastries as well.
My first love was Goldilock's© Classic Polvoron. I discovered eating it when I was a child. Polvoron is a powdered milk candy, made of flour, sugar butter and powdered milk. My mom used to request a box of Goldilock's© Polvoron as a souvenir from Philippines. Until I grew up, Goldilock's© Classic Polvoron has never failed my taste bud's expectations.
Philippine-made Spanish bread turned out to be my second love back in my early teenage days. My discovery of love for Spanish bread was back then when my dad and I went to a trip at a Filipino bakery. Spanish bread is a type of rolled bread with milk, butter and sugar filling. When I grab a bite of this type of bread, it brings all the memories back when I was still in elementary.
During my late high school days, my aunt brought home a plastic full of bread and pastries. She handed me a swirl type of bread and said to taste it because indeed I might like it. After grabbing a bite of the bread she gave me, I fell in love with it since then. I asked her, "What is the name of this bread?" and "What is this made of?". Since that mouthwatering experience, I fell in love with Cinnamon Rolls. Cinnamon Roll consists of a rolled sheet dough onto which a cinnamon and sugar mixture is sprinkled over a thin coat of butter.
This past months, my husband and I strolled at a mall. He also has a love for bread, so he took me to a bread store named BreadTalk©. Their all time favorite bread is Flosss©. The recipe is a chef's top secret. There are many varieties of bread sold at BreadTalk©, from different sizes and shape to it's color and taste. Their breads and buns are made up of different types of recipes which will tingle your taste buds from it's unique taste. We would never go home without one. From that day on, I fell in love with the different kinds of bread sold at BreadTalk©.
Up to now, I am still willing to experiment on different types of bread still to come. Who knows, I might fall in love on a new variety of bread and pastry when I taste one. I believe experimentation is an endless process in a person's life. So what are you waiting for. Grab a bread or pastry, and it might be your next love. You could share your story as well.
